I've been over there working on an article which is almost ready to fly & it's been a dream. I've transferred the rest of my blog but due to changes in look - past articles may need some artificial respiration. The new blog is still formative & I haven't transferred over my links yet ... been too busy having fun :) I'll leave this blog up & running for ease of reading past articles.

I have dearly loved this blog site & it's taken me a while to let go & move on

... BUT creativity is such a wondrous here & now thing, that past loves can never satisfy.

Is there, for you, a point where history just seems to fall off the edge?

It seems so to me.

And it's always nice to have (apparent) fact agree (though it's by no means necessary).

Before that time there seemed to have existed a ridiculously-darked Age, full of stench & dirt & disease.

The premise for the rest of this article is that the world that we live in now was born in the vicinity of 500 years ago.

Well anything before that 'Is story.

For quite some time now I've been on an epic quest. I've had to re-view the past & be willing to turn my world upside down. And I have willingly done this.

When I did look forward I seemed to be careering all over the place, but now looking backwards, I rather fancy I see patterns emerging.

During my questing research I wandered into a book called Classical Mythology. Somewhere in it's pages I came upon a description of Gungnir, the famous spear of the chief Norse god, or All-father, Odin.

This book told me that Gungnir's shaft was carved from the sacred wood of Yggdrasil (the Cosmic Tree) & that after gaining knowledge from this World Tree, Odin had broken off a bough & fashioned a perfect staff from it's holy wood.

Those words set my mind a-galloping.

Checking up on Yggdrasil, I was told that it's name translates to something akin to 'dreadful mount'.

Ye gods thought I, could they be referring to ...

... this place?

The mount of Holy Wood

While I'm sure that we can link holly symbolism to this place, I'm long passed seeing that title as anything other than the rite-heavy Holy Wood.

I found out later that the mount referred to above either represents Odin's steed or the World Tree (Yggdrasil) as a gallows. But by then it didn't matter, for I had already set sail on a voyage of un-discovery.

And I rather think the journey was worth it.

"Yggdrasil, the World Tree lay at the heart of the universe"

"Yggdrasil ... is an immense [ash] tree that is central in Norse cosmology; the world tree, and around the tree exist nine worlds ... The gods go to Yggdrasil daily to hold their courts. I reckon we can look quite candidly at Holy Wood as the heart of today's world.

The man who played the resurrected Steve Austin, was given the suitably grand name Lee Majors. His birth name has an interesting death of a king resonance - Harvey Lee Yeary (& yes born just six months before Lee Harvey).

The man with six zeros went on to star in a movie called The Norseman, playing a character by the name of Thorvald.

You may or may not recall that Thor, the Norse god of very big hammers, was Odin's son. The movie, by all accounts, is very bad, but that matters not, in these matters does it knot? Further illumination comes from paying attention to the director - one Charles B. Pierce - I presume you're getting a larger picture.

Although I could find no accepted etymological facts to back up the above statements, the word wyrd, is too damn close to the word to be under-looked.

And indeed I suddenly feel like I'm looking at the design plan of a grand architect & it all feels so familiar:

Norse mythology has it's own 2012 countdown sequence called Ragnarok

I'd been wondering, you see, if we could see Shakespeare as the All-(grand)father of the Church of Holy Wood.

See him as the One who planted the seed that would become the Yggdrasil around which this modern world/word revolves.

Each day the Norns "draw water from the well ... which they pour over Yggdrasill so that its branches will not rot."

Each day the fruits of Holy Wood are fed into the minds of millions, & their words are re-newed again.

Was Shakespeare the One who set in motion what would become the wor(l)d of the (e)motion picture?

I think the relationship between the sexes was designed to be that of dance partners.

... Therefore one sex cannot possibly 'figure out' (or even out figure), the other.

But ...

we can meet somewhere ...

... perhaps even in an underground bunker & endeavour to reconnect with the rhythms that our souls & soles are craving.

There is under-recognised power in honestly voiced words.

I watched Lenon Honor's documentary on the Gulf Oil Spill & somewhere along the way ...

... the toxic spill of that story evaporated from my consciousness. It was there one minute & gone the next.

I know not about the 'reality', but my mind is clean again.

"To owe one too"

My son told me of how for a while the whole 2012 'thing' had gotten into him. He told a friend & it got into his friend too. The friend researched. Somewhere along the way this friend made a light-hearted comment ...

... that at least they'd get two years to play a long awaited video game.

Something in that sentence extracted the poison from my son.

It interests me greatly, this therapy that comes through the release (real ease) of internal pressure.

There seems to be some exquisite healing agent that exists within honest expression - something our hearts & souls can easily digest. So many times I have found salvation through the utterance of glorious, powerful, open and/or funny statements.

That's the kind of dance the Rebel & I will attempt on his show.

I seem to be telling tales these days - promising articles that are tortoisely slow to appear.

... But life seems to be extra crooked right now, so I'm going with the warped flow & trusting that I'll get where I thought I was going, at the rite moment.

In the meantime ......

This ponder-theoretical post arises from one of those great conversations that occur when two or more inquiring minds roam freely.

Somewhere in an after school conversation with my son, a yesterday or three ago, a dialogue opened up on numbers & he told me that certain numbers had a certain feel to him.

Funny isn't it you live with someone for years, yet they never lose the power to surprise you (& thank god for that).

What follows are the sensings of a teenager. My son is quick to point out that his feelings are subtle - yet he never faltered, hesitated or got confused in his descriptions.

I'm presenting these 'sensings' to you because 'ideas beget more ideas'.

Ideas & information are tools (& toys). And God knows, we need ALL the tools & toys can lay our hands & minds on.

I present them also because of the sneaking suspicion that we know a whole lot more than we think we do & it's time to stop denying that.

So let's start with the number 1 - it leads to a past'n'present sync with one of my most popular (she says modestly), articles.

Twinsel Town.

Twinsel Town, also grew out of a conversation with my son.

It was hatched because of the char-actor (Arnold Judas) Rimmer from the English sci-fi comedy series Red Dwarf.

My son says: "Number 1 is like 'Rimmer'."

Wiki says: Rimmer is like this:

"Rimmer's primary character traits include anal-retentiveness, over-adherence to protocol, cowardice, misogyny, and a severely inflated ego matched only by his deep-seated sense of self-loathing".

Well it reminded me of the unbelievably slow, long-haul crawl of humanity.

You may have heard of humanity - a bunch of eejits who have evolved spiritually, emotionally & psychically at the speed of a one legged centipede on crutches.

Any ONE up for a bit of number play?

The ONE is Dead, Long Live the NEO

I'll bet you thought you were there, for that original release of The ONE, via a red pill, way back in 1999.

You were wrong of course.

But then you & I usually are.

The genie of that bottle was uncorked over a thousand years ago. From the year 1000 AD until 31st December, 1999, history was driven by the number ONE & all the energies that it resonates.

"The 2nd millennium was a period of time that commenced on January 1, 1001 (Arabian Nights anyone?) ...

...[It] encompasses the High Middle Ages, the Renaissance, the Early Modern Age ...

... the age of Colonialism, industrialization, the rise of nation states, and culminates in the 20th century with the impact of science, widespread education... vaccinations in many nations...

... The centuries of expanding large-scale warfare with high-tech weaponry (of the World Wars and nuclear bombs) ... and the return of the Olympics (lest we forget)."

And what of the lives of the everyday people in that thousand year span, you ask?

Is this the energy of the ONE, that impacted upon a thousand years of humanity?

How great was the power of that digit to direct the coursing of history?

There's 2 reasons I'm playing with this mad theory & we'll return to them in a moment.

First off I want to present some further subtle numerical sensings - take, leave, question or jettison as you will - just please, please keep keep your damned mind operating.

Number 3: "Dim, simple, non aggressive, not into conflict or violence"

Number 8: "Strong but doesn't have a will of it's own / can be used for good or evil"

Number 4: "Fair, even, stable"

Number 9: "Black, shiny, corporate - multi national / dark energy - greed / executor - the number of the people who run this world."

Number 7: The "Swiss army knife" of numbers - lots of uses / has it's own free will / quite a 'human' number."

And now we come 2 Number 2.

It was the ideas that sprang from my son's take on the number 2, that sent my fingers to the keyboard of this little conjecture-post.

He said: Number 2 is "Cunning - like a fox."

A dictionary defining of 'cunning' = "skillful in deception; sly; crafty"

I was fascinated by this idea.

I've been researching mythology.

The picture of a trickster emerged & took centre stage.

Previously, on planet Earth, I had read that the number 2 is the number of the feminine & that switching into the new millennium (2000), meant putting the divine feminine firmly in the driving seat, so to speak.

I'm not convinced.

I know not what the divine feminine is, though I'm sure that the twists & marketed turns of the nouvelle feminine have bugger all to do with it.

However ...

... if I put on my seeing aye glasses, I see patterns.

Lots of crafty patterns.

I see ten years of trixstery-ness.

"In mythology, and in the study of folklore and religion, a trickster is a god, goddess, spirit, man, woman, or anthropomorphic animal who plays tricks or otherwise disobeys normal rules and conventional behaviour ... Back when we were all ONE (last century), there seemed to be quite delineated markers to life. Goodly, & badly-ness were reasonably defined. The outlines of life were kinda visible. Paths were signposted. Life was progressed through in a somewhat orderly manner. There was an appearance of orderliness in the pattern of life. Or so it seemed to me.

That all changed with the 2nd Coming.

And then of course there's the trickiest of the tricky - the creation of the 51st state of the US of A (52nd if you count Is-real)

Everyone's welcomed into this state - no pas-sporting or fingerprinting necessary - heck you don't even have to have been good.

Actually these days it's a hole lot better if you've been bad.

Very bad.

Welcome to the Untied State of Gender, with it's capital city, Confusion.

The Governor of the State of Gender, Trixie Ortreat has been an outstanding advocate of the New Sex Order. While it may be, au naturel, for tricksters to frolic freely with their own gender, I must wonder what price is being extracted from the children of humanity.

This is no diatribe against homosexuality, heterosexuality or even red hot sexuality - go where you will, but go with love.

However this is a diatribe against the Dire Tribe that is de(a)dicated to CON-FUSING the hell out of young human sexuality. That Dire Tribe IS a malicious bunch.

Do you know how hard it is to try to protect the little ones today? To try & help them keep their feet on the ground long enough that they can make their OWN decisions, long enough for them to hear what their OWN bodies & desires are telling them.

It's so bloody difficult. But never, never, never give up on your children & never underestimate the power of even a grain of truth that is given with love.

The difference between last century & this one seems quite phenomenal. A world that seemed en route to somewhere shifted gear into chaos with the drowning of two towers in fire.

What an amazing TRICK that was.

What if from then until now we have been spectators of, & reactors to, the greatest magic show of all time.

What if we are now living in a world that runs by very different rules?

The rules of trickery.

I passed some wild ideas by my son today. I often do.

Our discussion honed in on the atomic testing that took place in the Pacific during the second half of the recent century. He quoted a line from a poem he has been studying at school & tucked inside it were three words: -

'the monstrous sun'

After my recent sideways look at the sun, I was intrigued.

I read the poem No Ordinary Sun - for me it sparkled ideas from past & current research.

I think it can be very powerful to turn

our worlds,

our words,

our history,

our selves

& our knowledge

upside down for a little while.

You just never know what might fall out.

Coffee, Muffins & Sun Worship

I met up with my West African friend for lunch today.

Not only did he kindly pay for my coffee & muffin, he also allowed me to grill him in a (non-violent) Spanish Inquisitorial kind of way on what his culture gives importance to.

I've been playing with a hunch about the number 12 of late & started by asking if it had a place in his heritage. The answer was 'not really' - the number 7 is far greater.

Would you believe that their (non-Westernised) 'week' is composed of 4 days - with a month equalling 7 x 4 day 'weeks' - how refreshing is that?

I also asked if his culture views or viewed (the West has a lot to answer for) the moon as being as important as the sun. The result was, that some very interesting ideas sat down & had lunch with us.

At first my friend struggled with words - as seems to happen in live conversations where one strives to birth understanding in the mind of another.

He said that the sun was seen as very harsh while the moon was seen as gentle. And that when dark rituals are undertaken, they often occur under the harshest time of the sun - noon. He gave revenge as an example of the kind of ritual that might be undertaken then. My understanding of this would mean that the sun's energy is 'best' harnessed for the darkest of deeds/rituals when it is at it's height.

Now this I find very interesting, because looking back into my televisually programmed memory I find I've been trained to see night as the time when dark forces get ready to go out out to work.

It seems we may be getting things a bit arse about face.

For rituals undertaken under the moon are seen to be of a more 'natural' nature.

When my friend was a child, parents would send their children outside during a full moon, to play beneath it's rays. As much of their flesh as possible was exposed to the moonlight - with only genitals covered. Rituals performed during this time were of a far more 'human' & 'humane' nature.

He also heard of sex magic being performed at these times (no. he doesn't have any pictures).

In these days of ubiquitously sneaky sun worship, I found it intriguing that he continued this discussion by speaking as if light & the sun were separate entities.

What if they are?

Please note the following is play with a twist - it's not designed to bring on apoplexy...

So ... what if the sun is NOT the bringer of light? What if that is an illusion of extra-sensorial perception?

I'm not sure why, but I find this idea rather fantastically fun.

I think perhaps it is a reaction to all the murk ...

... I've often have to trek through - murk that endlessly links sun worship to very great nastiness.

I was sitting behind a Holden car the other day. Every time I see their logo I see three things.

I see a lion (sun symbol) possessing the real thing. I see, beneath the lions head, a snake with jaws akimbo, swallowing the sun. And, I see these beasties enveloped within another sun (& without the help of drugs too).

I mention this for no particular reason other than it seems to underline how convoluted & continuous the 'big business' of sun-grasping is throughout the world of control.

I had the (above) feeling to write about the Holden logo & while thinking it might sound a wee bit lame, but went ahead because the feeling was there. Then I decided that I should also give you, dear reader, the 'true' account of the Holden logo. So I went surfing & fished up this:

Thus it is, that we ope today's article with a pretty scene from Romeo & Juliet, rather than with a portrait of it's papa apparent, a man who just doesn't do it for me.

Re-introducing the 'word-smythe' who needs no introduction, but is getting three anyway - Meister William Shakespeare.

His threefold face, hinting of something more than it's creative creator might've envisaged.

You see it seems Mr Shakes Pear may have had a penchant for threesomes.

"Ahh Dewliett ma luv, ah am ovaer ere wiv da three leetle fishies."

Let's ask if Monsieur Shak Espère's three fetish is a little fishy:-

I couldn't stop myself thinking of nasty modern trends when I read that last line.

And that's pretty much why we are gathered here today.

This is not an autopsy of Shakespearean proportions - I don't have the qualifications.

In this dissecting room, we are going to carry out an autipsy on the English language - this means you can eat, drink & smoke during the proceedings. The only qualification asked for is a pleasantly opened mind.

Scalpel please nurse.

English is the language I was born into & raised up with. I don't stutter, am not dyslexic and have never had a problem with reading, spelling, comprehending or writing. Yet this language & I have had a deeply troubled relationship. From my angle of memory at this time, I would say that the greatest percentage of pain in my life has been tied to this, my native tongue. It has only been within the last couple of years of blogging that I have found a pathway to peace.

What follows is a mix of research combined with personal opinions & feelings backed by a lifetime of frustration & silent rage. I'm guessing that much of what ensues could be unpicked in seconds ...

... by the modern world's Fact-ory Workers (aka 'experts') but let's just say 'bollocks', make like a bullock & charge on backwards.

Here are some splendid thoughts from an olden thinker:

In the 1924 book "History of the English Language", author E. Classen describes language as;

'the autobiography of the human race'.

He invokes 'accent' (i.e. pitch, tempo) as the;

"very soul of speech"

& he speaks of;

"the relations which must necessarily exist between thought & emotions on the one hand and their outward manifestation - language - on the other hand."

The 'Father of Modern Philosophy', Rene Day-Cart, is "best known for the philosophical statement "Cogito ergo sum" (French: Je pense, donc je suis; English: I think, therefore I am; or I am thinking, therefore I exist)."

Thought/existence = the art of language?

Does the Western/Modern World exist because of the English language?

This is my stop.

This is where I jump off the reality train. Feel free to jump too or you can simply make your way back to the internet via your leetle mousse & no hard feelings.

Ok fellow leapers, let's entertain some crazy thoughts to tea. Let's imagine that there is something amiss & amok with, or within the English language.

What if English, as a language, comes in extra strength flavour? What if it's too harsh for everyday use? What if it requires very special handling?

For as long as I can remember, I have felt words.

I'd gladly goes miles out of my way, than hear certain words. I avoid doctors & dentists like the plague because of the potency of their a-noun-cements - setting one's fate in concrete.

I get queasy round Newsrapers, oops I mean Newspapers. I can feel positively ill listening to what spews forth from the mouths of 're-porters' ( (porter - "doorkeeper, janitor," 1180s, from Anglo-Fr. portour, from O.Fr. portier, from L.L. portarius "gatekeeper").

Then there's tone too of course - the soul of langauge.

Is it me or have you noticed also, that many speakers of English sound positively spark-less.

Tonight we present, for your viewing pleasure, a smorgasbord of spectacular speculations.
So without further ado - 'Let the feast of a thousand conjectures begin!'

What if the English language is a highly potent elixir - a potion for making things 'real', a real genie-us of a language.

What if there is a form-ula to all those nasty lumps'n'bumps? Perhaps something like this: -

Cancer - the multiplicated 'sell' disease given life (& so(u)l'd) by the media. OK kids repeat after me, "Knickers to cancer".

Behold the stairway to Holey Wood, where initiates strive to enter attainment. The huge business of dreaming in this world, is composed in 100 carat English.

Is there a reason why the English language dominates the dreamy scapes of entertainment ?

Let's play a while with the idea that this tongue is the lingua supremo of story-telling ...

Let's suggest that it's structuring, shaping, spelling & sounding spin wickedly fine webs ...

... within the human mind...

Let's suggest that this language is a living thing that connects deeply with & within us.

I couldn't help thinking of the ritual formats used to enter & leave the daily doom hypnosis session.

I do not have the linguistic ability to speak knowledgeably of language. But I have noticed that English seems to have a very powerful ability to direct attention. When I pay it extra attention I seem to sense strong forward momentum. A feeling of being on a highway, or perhaps in a strong current - very difficult to get to the sides & pull yourself out.

How about a little English vinetasting?

An extraordinary method of directing attention would be a godsend for directors of attention.

It is interesting to note that one who may have been the greatest English salesman of all time ...

This (potential) story-telling, scene-setting language par excellence, has moved into the fields of of science & technology & all things logical & factual.

Has the language of guided fantasy been shanghaied & set to work for the other side? Our modern world is apparelled in apparent fact. Science & technology reign supreme. If it can't be explained it doesn't exist.

But what if the language that's been employed to present these facts, is in fact a creature from the realm of fantasy?

What if,
Behind the scenes & screens of modern life,

Black magicians are busily crafting.

Weaving definite articles of fantasy into FACT,

Cutting & pinning & sewing stories together,

Tearing & tangling truth into tatters,

Spinning statistics into gold,

Thro' the use of linguisticalchemicals?

What if Babel was not the loss of one language, but rather the loss of many?

What if once we spoke many languages, but Babel buggered it up?

What if we are supposed to speak in many tongues - varying use according to need?

What if we were meant to love in French, argue in Italian, conduct business in Japanese, tell stories in English & philosophise in Greek?

Part of the reason English may be such a forceful scene setter, is it's use of a few little magickal herbs ...

... sorry I mean verbs;

I came across E-Prime some time ago on Dedroidify's site. It popped up again on research for this article. E-Prime could be described as the non-surgical removal of the verb 'to be' - shhh, don't tell Herr Shhhakes Pair or he may turn in his grave:-

What if this Englishing World-Cup was kicked off yonks ago through the wordy-works of Herr Shhh Aches Pair. How terribly amusant to recall just where the English language first went round the Globe.

They've always been there you know. Those elegant of pointers to a lingua mystique - alchemical alphabetting, magical spelling & wizardly words, conjuring conjunctions & mortal sentences.

... & in case you think that I'm s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g things a little with the 3rd sister, I think you'll find that the hoitiest of society, court her presence:-

Could Shakespeare's riting be wrapped up in ritual & divine rule?

Certainly it is interesting that the name attributed to 'greatest play-rite of all time' should be composed of words (words = sword = sharp weapon = spear).

When I mentally leap back to what feels like the beginning of our modernish history, I always seem to stop at Elizabeth I ...

If you peer closer into those Elizabethan times, you will see strange repeating patterns - Renaissance means rebirth. Was it spelled 're-birth' because it's all been done so many times before?

On 25th August (Ludwig II's future birthday) 1530, one of the most powerful bastards of all time was born - he would become known as Ivan the Terrorist, sorry I mean the Terrible.

Liz & Ivan's reigns laid down monumental foundations for two huge-to-be modern empires. These monumental monarchs had twinning beginnings.

- Both had father's whose first marriage failed to produce a lusted after son.
- Both manoeuvered their first wives into a controversial divorce & then remarried.
- Both second wives conceived, although to Anne Boleyn's detriment, the girl child she bore nominated her for a death sentence.
- Ivan's father Vasili III died when his son was three years old.
- Elizabeth's mother Anne died after three years as queen.

It was during Elizabeth's reign, that the Emperor of English, rose to power

The crowd were delighted

By all they had sighted

The bard gave a bow & reversed

When Lizzie eventually bowed out, she was replaced by the not particularly bonnie King James.

Thanks to Wille the Spear Shaker, James survived an assassination attempt by a guy with some explosive forks.

Willie of course invented the word assassination, which gave Guy something to aim for & James something to run away from.

James went a big step further in bringing modern English to town when he called for a new improved version of the famous old classic Harry Potter & Holy CruciBible under the pen name KJ Royaling. It became a best seller.

The coming of the second extra long-lived Queen, saw another huge leap forward in the staking of the English claim.

Queen Victorias' reign, would see the injecting of the English language into a host of nations.

Could the spread of the British Empire have been necessary to further the spread the English language?

Two world war's later confirmed that winners spoke with the queen's tongue - not literally, that would be gross.

Ahhhh.... 'A Frikken Queen'

America became super-dooper powerful & made daring moves & movies that further furthered the spread of the queen's genioglossus muscle.

Music rocked as long as it lingered in tones of dulcet l'anglish ...

... & just about everything progressive & successful seemed to be supplied in the lingo of l'Angleterre.

Setting the Scene

Using intuition & synchronicity as twinning track'n'trace mediums has very often led me rite off the path I thought I was travelling, but I would never leave home without them.

That is why it may seem as if I veer off track a bit too often - all I can say is that usually at some point the tracks lead back together again or makes sense in a new way & the old track no longer suffices.

Thus it is that, although I still have the finale of The Crux of the Matter, Part III of the Master of the Sea, the 7 Deadly Queens of '97 & a mil-Lion Man still outstanding, I must beg your pardon yet again as we cut a new trail over olden ground.

Remember, everything is intimately connected.

That's why I've gotten comfortable with writing about events that happen at the end of the world (aka New Zealand). We may look separate, but we are not.

The new story thus far...

While researching my previous languishing article, I came across a DVD about the unsolved disappearance of a young Kiwi couple, that took place twelve years ago, while I was living in England. Preliminary occult-carbon dating as to the date of their vanishing called very loudly for further investigation.

I investigated.

A trail of bodies ensued.

Last week I was visually accosted by a book at the library called The Roman Triumph.

Actually I was accosted by it's author, Mary Beard.

Her name had rather an itchy unfeminine feel. It lingered a little uncomfortably. Just as it had lingered the first time I heard it, a week earlier. Only then it had belonged to a 25 year old English hitch-hiker whose badly decomposing body was found under a bridge during the brand new weeks of 1970. Her name was Jennifer Mary Beard. She died at the same occultly-significant carbon-dated-date that a young couple would disappear without a trace, 28 years later.

And they're not the only ones.

Jennifer Beard however seems to form the crux of this route change. It was her name that called & caught my attention. So while I continue to follow the trails that are presenting themselves, I thought I'd give you a link to her story. There are some inaccuracies in what follows, but the retelling sets the scene. The actual cause of her death has never been positively established, but she died on the very last day of the 'Swinging Sixties'.
